Bayonne, New Jersey — Mayor's Race 2026

Bayonne Has No Mayor Right Now.
Here's What We're Doing About It.

Former Mayor Jimmy Davis left January 1, 2026 to become Hudson County Sheriff. The seat is open. May 12th is election day. Interim Mayor Robert Kubert is managing city operations but is not seeking a full term. This platform exists to help Bayonne residents make an informed decision — and hold whoever wins accountable after.

What This Platform Does

Three Functions. One Accountability Record.

This is not a campaign site. It is a civic accountability platform built on the principle that residents deserve to know what candidates stand for — and whether they delivered — before and after the vote.

Function 01

What Bayonne Needs

We're asking residents what they need from whoever sits in that empty chair. Not a poll. A living public document of community priorities that any candidate has to reckon with. Compiled by the Bayonne Office of Innovation. All three candidates will be asked to respond.

Function 02

The Candidate Record

We're compiling the public accountability record on all three certified candidates — every council vote, every public statement, every documented position. What they said before. What they're saying now. All sourced from public record. Updated as new information is documented.

Function 03

After May 12th

This platform doesn't go dark on election night. Whoever wins, the record stays live. We track whether the promises match the delivery. The record is permanent. Full post-election monitoring launches May 13th.

Election Day

May 12, 2026

Bayonne residents will vote for mayor in a non-partisan election. Every day before that vote is an opportunity to examine the record. Every day after it is an opportunity to hold the winner accountable.

Polls open 6:00 AM — 8:00 PM. Hudson County, New Jersey. Non-partisan race — top vote-getter wins.

Why We Support Loyad Booker

A Candidate Who Runs on Transparency Should Withstand a Site That Documents Everything.

"We support Councilman Loyad Booker. Not because we were asked to. Because his platform is built on accountability and transparency — the same values this platform is built on."

A candidate who runs on transparency should be comfortable with a site that documents everything publicly. We chose him because we believe he can withstand the scrutiny. That's the point.

If he wins and doesn't deliver — this site will show that too. The accountability record is not conditional on electoral outcomes or campaign cooperation. It is permanent, public, and independent.

This expenditure is made independently of any candidate's campaign. No coordination has occurred. See full disclosure.
